POGS will offer parent support group meetings based on demand. Each series will align with a chapter book related to parenting gifted students. Meetings will be facilitated, yet guided primarily by the interests and concerns of parents in attendance. The goal of the support group is to connect parents on the unique challenges, joys, and experiences shared by those raising gifted children and adolescents.
The POGS program will offer evening classes and Saturday workshops based on demand. These classes cover topics related to the specific needs and characteristics of gifted students. The goal of each class is to provide parents with strategies and information that can be used to nurture their gifted child’s social, emotional, intellectual, academic, and physical growth.
