ELA Voyages into Middle-earth with Ms. Edins

ELA Voyage

ELA Voyage class is busy practicing grammar skills, building academic vocabulary, journaling, and reading The Hobbit. We love the pattern of Tolkien’s chapters, his foreshadowing, and the tricky ways he uses language. And of course, we can’t wait to read what happens to Bilbo and his band of dwarves. The scholars took a “quiz” to see which character they matched most closely, and now they are following their character through the book. We have even written our names in Tolkien’s Runes!
