Officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) have announced the names of the Semifinalists in the 66th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. We are proud to announce that E.A. Young Academy Senior, Ben Aubin, was named one of these National Merit Semi-Finalists! Please help us congratulate Ben on his impressive achievement!
According to the National Merit Scholarship Program press release, these academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million that will be offered next spring. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship® award, Semi-finalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition. Over 90 percent of the Semi-finalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and about half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title. #nationalmeritscholar #NMSC #OnlyAtYoung
