Session Details

In this immersive, hands-on experience, creators will transform stories into breathtaking stage worlds! From concept to construction, students will collaborate to design and build theatrical sets and costumes, mastering the art of texture, dimension, and illusion. Whether crafting the eerie decay of a spooky ghost story, the sleek glow and aesthetic of a futuristic world, or the whimsical charm of a fantasy realm, young designers will explore scenic painting, sculpting, distressing, and fabric manipulation to bring their visions to life.  Armed with paint, plaster, foam, fabric, and found objects, students will learn to mimic wood, cracked stone, shimmering metal, and lush textiles—essential skills for any set designer. They’ll also develop practical construction techniques, learning how to safely use tools like hot glue, papier-mâché, and more. But it’s not just about technique—it’s about storytelling! Designers will select a show or movie, dream up their own design concepts, and work together to build them from the ground up. This high-energy, creative course blends artistry with engineering, turning imagination into reality. Whether your child loves design, theater, or hands-on creativity, this is the ultimate stage for them to shine!
